Trust and process

Editorial standards

SnagDeals exists to reduce uncertainty, not manufacture urgency. These standards govern our deal listings, guides, source imports, corrections, and affiliate relationships.

Complete data before publication

A public deal must have a product identity, numeric offer price, comparison value, usable destination, retailer, and check time. We do not estimate missing prices or publish product-only scraper rows as deals.

Freshness shown beside the offer

Every public listing displays when its price was checked. Retailer inventory and checkout prices can change, so older listings receive more caution and should leave active collections when they can no longer be verified.

Conditions stay visible

Membership pricing, coupons, variants, and fulfillment requirements belong near the price. Readers should not need to discover an important restriction only after clicking away from SnagDeals.

Monetization does not rewrite the criteria

Some links may eventually earn a commission. Affiliate status does not determine whether a listing is published, featured, or described positively. Direct and affiliate relationships are disclosed clearly.

Sources and permitted use

We use retailer APIs, authorized affiliate feeds, direct retailer pages, and user-supplied exports only within the permissions that apply to each source. We do not treat scraping as a substitute for an API when a retailer's terms prohibit automated extraction.

Product ratings, customer reviews, retailer images, and live prices are not copied from Amazon without access through Amazon's approved tools. Original guides are written independently and add analysis rather than republishing retailer copy.

Corrections and removals

Incorrect prices, broken destinations, missing conditions, and expired offers should be corrected or removed promptly. A retailer's live checkout controls the final price and availability.

Readers can report an issue at deals@getsnagdeals.com. Include the page URL and the condition that changed so the listing can be reviewed.
